Los Angeles based dubstep label and event brand Sub Concentrate will be celebrating their 5 year anniversary in a big way in Los Angeles Friday, April 1st with a stacked lineup featuring two of underground dubstep's most coveted and equally filthy acts: Requake and Badklaat, with musical support from Sub Concentrate creator/Producer/DJ Shack D, all featuring MC host, Kemst. Not only will this show celebrate five years of Sub Concentrate's highly successful, West Coast dubstep debauchery, but the very first U.S. appearance of Requake as well!
Hailing from Belgium, 20 year olds Sebastien & Adrien, a.k.a. Requake, have been garnering serious attention since the duos conception 4 years ago (at the age of 16!) from some of the scene's gnarliest heavy hitters like Noisia, N-Type, Mistajam,Funtcase and Murdock, and have gone on to slay releases with their distinct style of ultra low, hollow, riddim-esque sound design and hard hitting basslines that marry in subtle, yet uniquely electrifying ways. UK's Badklaat, who sports a similar style to and regularly collaborates with Requake, picked up electronic music production at the tender age of 15, making drum & bass and grime. He's since expertly melded these influences into his dubstep productions that boast both head banging filth and deeper, chilled out vibes. This lethal combination of these two brutal acts under one roof is absolutely not a show to miss out on!
