Since its conception in 2012, Lucidity Festival has evolved into one of California's best kept festival secrets. Situated in the midst of the Santa Barbara mountains, this open-source transformational arts and music festival invites attendees to become essential, interactive parts of the entire Lucidity experience, as they are given the opportunity to partake in seven themed villages, bring art, lead workshops, perform on one of the festival's many stages or even just get silly and let loose. Aside from its staggering commitment to cultivating a communal vibe, Lucidity is known best for bringing together world class musical talents woven together with the sounds and vibrations of beloved local legends, topped off with the most brilliant fine art the region has to offer, enriching the festival on both auditory and visual levels. This year's lineup boasts Om Unit, Eprom, MiHKAL, Yheti and Kompozart, as well as musical stylings from myself, Lynx, and some of my personal friends: Decoy, Sex Pixels, Evol Morg, Bix King, Slothy, Darc Sounds, Dubwol, and Don P.
The fifth and second to last installment of Lucidity's epic six year festival journey of both personal and collective transformation is aptly named Crossroads, as it aims to continue the festival's mission of enriching each of our collective journeys whilst simultaneously recognizing this turbulent moment in time of our socio-cultural evolution. Lucidity Crossroads seeks to embrace our current liminal, transitional zone between what was and what will be; a limbo zone where many of us are confronted by shadows of great fear of the unknown. The mission behind this year's festival is to envision solutions: to cast light upon the darkness and actively sweep away that which no longer serves us. By fusing the most opportunistic, spiritually enriching aspects of art, music and a sense of community, this year's Lucidity hopes to guide attendees to realize their infinite potential, as they are encouraged to channel their personal visions and conscious energies towards letting go of fear, and in turn, feeling free to create that which they want to see in the world.
