Conceived by Jamie Schildhauer and Paul White in 2012, Kaiju has rapidly become one of underground dubstep's most coveted and well respected acts due to the project's impeccably executed, tastefully subtle and highly informed productions. During their short time in the limelight, Kaiju have already made a monumental impact on the sounds of the scene, having won "Best New Producers" at the 2013 DSF awards and been signed exclusively to the legendary Deep Medi Musik label. Upon first listening to Kaiju, whether to one of their reggae dub tracks beaming with dubstep history or one of their many savage, brain melting dubplates, it becomes clear that when it comes to formulating rich, made-for-system music, no one does it quite like Kaiju.
Excitingly enough, Kaiju just released their debut album with Deep Medi Musik entitled Seven Sins; a once secret project three years in the making that was initially started as a test of the boys' creative limits within the confines of a theme. Featuring Deep Medi label-mate Gantz as well as Jack Gates, drum & bass vets Total Science and vocalist Riya, and boasting influences from jungle, sublow grime and drunken jazz, Seven Sins proves to be a dynamic, prolific and concise showcase of Jaime and Paul's many sonic inspirations and moods.
